Even during a conversation, become conscious
of the gaps between words, the brief silent
intervals between sentences. As you do that,
the dimension of stillness grows within you.

A dialogue is very important. It is a form of communication in which question and answer continue till a question is left without an answer. Thus the question is suspended between the two persons involved in this answer and question. It is like a bud with untouched blossoms . . . If the question is left totally untouched by thought, it then has its own answer because the questioner and answerer, as persons, have disappeared. This is a form of dialogue in which investigation reaches a certain point of intensity and depth, which then has a quality that thought can never reach.
~ Krishnamurti

Words stand between silence and silence:
between the silence of things and the silence
of our own being, between the silence of the
world and the silence of God. When we have
really met and known the world in silence,
words do not separate us from the world nor
from other men, nor from God, nor from
ourselves because we no longer trust entirely
in language to contain reality.

If you tell the truth,
you don't have to
remember anything.

~ Mark Twain
Vain, boastful talk repels acts of
kindness and tears the branch of
mercy from the trunk of the tree.
Speak honestly or else be silent,
and then behold grace and delight
in it.
- Rumi
